Problem vs. Opportunities

by Mark Beaird mark_beaird_mug

"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity;
an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."
— Winston S. Churchill

Cultivating the ability to see opportunities instead of only problems can often provide a change of insight that can radically transform your perspective. To be a cynic or an optimist is an easy choice, but it is the living out of your choice that will often provide you with your greatest struggles. Why? Because, to desire to be better, or to reach higher, or to hope in greater things will always demand we swim against the current or push desperately past obstacles. Yet, to remain as we are is as easy as floating along on the current of a lazy river. What we choose to live out will be the ultimate proof of our choice.
