Providence Fellowship: A Place to Belong

Pastoral Care

Bereavement / Funerals

When a Providence Fellowship Family member loses a loved one, if requested, Pastoral Care assists the bereaved family in coordinating the funeral services. In addition, when it is the death of an immediate family member the Women's Ministry will offer to provide food with the help of concerned volunteers.

Hospital Visitation

When members or loved ones of Providence Fellowship are in the hospital our pastoral staff will visit and pray for the patient and family during their time of need.

Baptism

Pastoral Care administers the sacrament of baptism including: teaching, coordinating times and events, and baptism certificates.

Communion

Pastoral Care administers the sacrament of Communion at various times throughout the year.

Dedication of Children

Pastoral Care dedicates those infants and children of Christian parents who want to commit their children to God. We do not believe that infant dedication secures the salvation of the child; instead it is a commitment of the parents and the church members that they will do everything within their power to lead the child to Christ through their example. It is encouraged that not only parents, but also the grandparents participate in the dedication. A Bible and Dedication Certificate are presented to the family to commemorate this event.

Weddings

When called upon, Pastoral Care will offer pre-marital counseling, advice in planning the ceremony, and will perform the marriage ceremony.
